Landmark offers Turf Producers' Select formulated seed blends and mixtures specifically for sod production. These blends of Kentucky Bluegrasses and Turf-Type Tall Fescues, or a combination of both, provide turf producers with quality turf for a variety of applications. Whether the objective is drought resistance, quick establishment or another goal, Landmark has an option to meet all sod producers' demands. These formulations are produced in blending facilities specializing in sod with separate equipment for each sod species. TPS sod quality assurance continues through shipment as each pallet of sod seed is wrapped and segregated to further protect against potential cross contamination. A-LIST, the Alliance for Low Input Sustainable Turf, is a non-profit, national organization that provides sports turf managers, golf course superintendents, and grass growers with information and specifications for successful grass growth. A-LIST fosters the development of sustainable turfgrass varieties and related products by creating trial guidelines and evaluation protocols. As a member, our focus is to promote grass varieties that exhibit high turf quality while benefitting the environment through low-input performance such as reduced irrigation, chemical, and fertilizer application. Landmark has A-LIST approved Tall Fescue, Fine Fescue, Kentucky Bluegrass, and Perennial Ryegrass varieties.

 Landmark Turf & Native Seed is one of hundreds of companies that are part of the American Seed Trade Association (ASTA), dedicated to advocating industry-wide science and policy issues. ASTA ensures that international, national, and state regulations are communicated and also informs members of the latest technology and developments in the seed industry. As a member of ASTA, Landmark is able to build relationships with other seed producers and distributors, plant breeders, and other members in related industries across the country and the world.

    Euroseeds, formerly ESA, represents the European seed sector including those involved in plant breeding, production, research, and marketing for agricultural, horticultural, and ornamental plant species. Euroseeds oversees regulation of the European seed sector, protects intellectual property rights relating to the seed industry, and ensures fair marketing and selling of seed for all parties involved. As a member, we are able to expand our business overseas to connect with agricultural seed producers, breeders, distributors, and customers in Europe and beyond.

    The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America is a resource for those who manage golf courses across the country. Members are able to connect with others involved in the golf industry to network and make advancements to every aspect of the game of golf. As our products improve, we want to ensure that the efficiency and aesthetic of golf courses improves as well.

    Turf Producers International (TPI) promotes the benefits of natural grass and sod. With their mission statement of "promoting the global environmental benefits of natural grass through education and research," TPI connects producers of seed and sod, equipment suppliers and manufacturers, educators, and researchers involved in the industry. As a member, we are connected with others who have a passion for the turfgrass industry and want to educate, advocate, and improve natural grass seed and sod across the world.

    The International Seed Federation (ISF) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization representing the global seed industry. ISF focuses on sustainable agriculture and food security on an international level. As a member alongside seed industry professionals, we gain insights to the global seed industry including trade relationships, market and science-based regulations, and recognition as seed professionals. ISF provides Landmark with the innovation and collaboration for our resources and relationships within the seed industry to reach farther than the national level.

The institute is involved in turfgrass research, landscape horticulture, and agronomic science conducted all over the world. Once the information is gathered about the latest advancements in lawns and sports turf, The Lawn Institute interprets and makes the information available to consumers. We take pride in being a member of The Lawn Institute because of their strong focus on education to improve lawns and sports turf.

As a member, Primera is dedicated to our products and the industry, ensuring satisfaction throughout each step of the process. 

    SFMA
    SFMA

    The Sports Turf Managers Association was officially formed in 1981 to facilitate the sharing of ideas and information. The key leaders in the SFMA’s infancy were Harry “Pops” Gill (deceased), Milwaukee County Stadium; Dr. William Daniel (deceased), Professor Emeritus, Purdue University; Dick Ericson (deceased), Minneapolis Metrodome, and George Toma (NFL). The association has 2700 members and is headquartered in Lawrence, KS. In 2022 SFMA rebranded to the SFMA (Sports Field Management Association).

    Mission: SFMA advances professionalism in sports field management and safety through education, awareness programs, and industry development.

    The Independent Turf & Ornamental Distributors Association (ITODA) is an organization aimed at connecting and educating independently-owned businesses involved in the turf and ornamental landscaping industries. ITODA focuses on employing and training professionals in the green industry while creating relationships between distributors, manufacturers, and customers across the country. Education includes a focus on developing sales techniques and packaging to promote products, marketing stewardship, and quality service for the turf and ornamental landscaping industry, all while maintaining environmental responsibility. 

    USNA - Grass Roots
    USNA - Grass Roots

    The U.S. National Arboretum’s Grass Roots Initiative is a four-year, in-depth look at the science behind turfgrass and how it impacts the quality of our life. The initiative features a Grass Roots Exhibit at the National Arboretum, an outdoor interactive exhibit showcasing the development of turf cultivars through science-based management and research programs. The exhibit highlights the differences in turf cultivars and management depending on their purpose which includes golf and sports fields, landscaping elements, soil conservation, and water retention.
